Your wellbeing is important to us
The wellbeing of all of our carers will always important to us The work that people do as unpaid carers can be difficult at the best of times. It‘s a role that can quickly take a toll on a person‘s mental health. The team at Carers Card UK are always thinking of new ways to support our carers. This is why we‘re extremely excited to soon be introducing a new feature into the Carers Card UK app which is designed to help carers easily monitor and manage their emotional wellbeing.
Dubbed the mood tracker, it‘s a tool that‘s quick and easy for our card holder‘s to use and allows them to record their moods on a regular basis. It does this by allowing carers to choose from a range of predetermined mood icons each day. By doing this our system is able to build up a picture of a carer‘s overall wellbeing. This information can then be shown to the carer so, if it‘s needed, they can get help, advice or support on how to increase their wellbeing.
Our mood tracker uses visual graphs to help carers visualise their mood patterns over time. These patterns can then be used to practice self-care or carry out mindfulness exercises. It‘s a great tool for carers who want to gain a better understanding of their emotions, identify triggers that may affect their mood, and track the effectiveness of different self-care techniques or therapeutic interventions.
Our mood assessment tool will be an optional feature within the Carers card UK app. It‘s currently in a trial phase but is planned to be fully rolled out by the end of March 2023! This is yet another way we want to support carers and the work they do.
