Your carer ID card is a physical ID card that allows your carers to identify themselves as a carer. The following information is included on the card.
Access to benefits, information, and support
Being able to identify yourself as a carer can open you up to a variety of benefits and resources. Your carers card can help you in situations where you can benefit by being able to prove your status as a carer. Think of it as a practical tool that supports you wherever you go. Here’s just a few ways our carers card can benefit you:
Easy identification
Healthcare access: Quickly identify yourself to healthcare professionals, allowing you to discuss and manage your loved one’s medical needs without hassle.
Educational meetings: Use your card to verify your role during school meetings, ensuring you can advocate effectively for any necessary support for your loved one.
Workplace flexibility: Present your card to employers to facilitate conversations about flexible work arrangements or time off needed for caregiving responsibilities.
Priority access: Gain priority access to services and support tailored specifically for carers, ensuring you can get the help you need promptly.
On-the-go support
Emergency situations: In emergencies, quickly demonstrate your caregiving role, ensuring both you and your loved one receive appropriate and timely support.
Public services: Access public services and programs designed to assist carers more easily by showing your carers card.
The Digital Carer ID Card
When one of your carers sign up for your carer ID card they will also get a digital version.
Their digital carer ID card gives them everything the physical card provides but is neatly housed on their mobile device. So, instead of showing their physical card as proof that they're a carer all they need to do is show their virtual card from their mobile device.
